We discovered the ceramics of Nicholas Lysaght while seeking stock for the Rogers De Rin Gallery, never shown but created purely for his own pleasure we felt these highly original works deserved a wider audience. A fusion of natural elements incorporated into his work has brought a completely original approach to the art of ceramics. Taught to paint by his father Alan Carr Linford RWS and to use other materials by his mother a stained glass and mixed media artist, he was introduced to the versatility of clay at an early age by family friend and ceramicist Alan Spencer Green.
Nicholas works with a very assured and individual approach; producing innovative works of consummate beauty. His work is internationally held in both public and private collections.

In my work I try not to compete with or mimic nature but work with it to form a natural cohesion between form and surface.
